The management
team
Carol Murray P-Eng., M.Sc.
President and CEO
Mr. Carol Murray holds a degree in Electrical Engineering
(1987) and a Master of Science (1992) with a specialization
in Project Management from the University of Quebec in
Chicoutimi. He has been a member of “l’Ordre
des ingénieurs du Québec” since 1987.
Mr. Murray has more than 19 years of experience in different
industries including aluminum, pulp and paper, construction,
engineering and optical equipment. He was director at
JDS Uniphase Corp. in the overseas operations group in
2002 and 2003 and directed the manufacturing technology
group in 2000 and 2001.
He was General Manager at Copernic Technologies (1999-2000)
and Environair S.I.P.A. Inc. (1995-1999) after being
their Director of Business Development for more than
one year. Mr. Murray also spent almost 8 years of his
engineering career (between 1988 and 1995) with “la
Société des Technologies de l’Aluminium
du Saguenay Limitée (STAS Ltée)” in
Chicoutimi. He began his engineering career with Products
JAC Inc. in 1987-1988.
Pierre Gagnon P-Eng.
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Pierre Gagnon has a background in mechanical engineering
and is a member of “L’Ordre des ingénieurs
du Québec”. Between 2001 and 2003, he was
Vice-President of Atara Corporation Inc., which specializes
in industrial water treatment systems and shaftless screw
conveyors. From 1998 to 2001, he was manager of industrial
projects mainly oriented in the pulp and paper industry
for Mesar/Environair Inc. From 1996 to 1998, he was manager
of technical services at RAD Technologies Inc., an enterprise
which designs and manufactures equipment and accessories
in the tractor industry.
In 1995, he was engineer assembly plant and quality assurance
for Cardotech International. Between 1992 and 1994, Mr.
Gagnon was engineering partner for Conceptions Productique
OPFAB, a consulting firm specialized in the design and
performance of turn key projects for the optimization
of industrial processes. Between 1988 and 1992, he was
Vice-President of Biolix Inc. and between 1987 and 1989,
Director-Development and New Construction for Pizza Royale.
He was also Maritime Engineer Officer for National Defense
from 1984 to 1987.
Yves Sicotte
Vice
President Sales and Marketing
Mr. Yves Sicotte has more than 20 years experience
with industrial and heavy machinery companies involved
in construction, mining, forestry and public utilities
across North America. During his career, he has acquired
a thorough knowledge of issues related to building distribution
networks, developing sales and marketing strategies and
overseeing new product development. This experience has
enabled him to hone a strategic, analytical approach
centred on value creation for shareholders, partners
and employees.
Before joining PowerTech, Mr. Sicotte was a private sales and marketing
consultant for several large manufacturing companies. He also worked
as Business Development Manager for Bombardier Recreational Products.
From 1989 to 2000, Mr. Sicotte worked for Denharco inc. a large
forestry equipment manufacturer as Corporate Marketing Manager for
the North American market.
Nick Cristiano CA
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Nick Cristiano holds a Bachelors Degree in Commerce and a Diploma in accountancy from Concordia University. He is also a member of the Ordre des Comptables Agréés du Québec.
Mr. Cristiano joined Power Tech in May 2008 as CFO. He has over 15 years of experience in financial reporting, operations and mergers and acquisitions. In recent years, he has held the position of Chief Financial Officer and secretary-treasurer for two Canadian publicly listed companies; Steeplejack Industrial Group (SID-TSX) and Speedware Corporation (SPW-TSX).
Robert Duhamel
Vice President, Global Supply Chain
Mr. Duhamel is a specialist and a supply chain manager with more than 25 years of practical experience as owner and coach in industrial supply and management of the supply chain. His experience was gained in various industries and manufacturing, machining and production companies and includes knowledge of processes, project management and major industrial construction project management, operation and plant maintenance and service industries and airports. He worked in several cities including Quebec, Calgary, Salt Lake City, Lac de Gras and the Northwest Territories.
Mr. Duhamel is a Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) and a member of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC). He has acted as an instructor for the PMAC, as a director of vocational training for the province of Quebec and as Vice-president in charge of vocational training
